Dieter is 80 years today!
"The Magnolia Trace "family" knew about it and at 2 PM all the guests arrived, sang Happy Birthday, delivered a big nice cake and a special birthday card - signed by all - and a big bottle of Premium Vodka! All I had to do is provide the forks for the cake, the coffee and the cups for it. By the time I had grabbed the camera some guests were already gone and so was the cake.... Dieter and i thank this wonderful community of residents and snowbirds for their caring and warmth and friendship! It has been a wonderful hour of talking, laughing and eating....

Thanks to Chris Bill I am able to put the following picture into this blog!
You wouldn't believe the diversity of the food offered and the animated conversations we all enjoyed!! Today the neat greenhouse in our park was filled again with fellow campers filling their plates with Spaghetti, Meatballs, Salads, raw veggies, home-made Sangria, Iced Tea, hot Coffee - and Desserts.
You should have seen the variety of cakes, pies, fruits, Jello and other goodies. This time I did not bring my camera. The picture underneath was taken by our neighbor Donald Stuart. It was cozy inside the greenhouse because the Spaghetti Cooker radiated some warmth and the door at one side was closed because a cold weather front is approaching, It was wonderful to talk with table neighbors again. Even though we live close enough all of us here, the mostly seen outdoors are dog owners doing walks with their pets. Others walk the neighborhood alone or rather spend their time inside the trailer when the temperatures are not on the warm side, even in Florida. Our Thank You goes to Howard and Chris and some permanent residents who bend over backwards to make everyone happy. Love to all - Karin and Dieter. |
