After saying Good Bye to new friends in Zephyrhills, we were on our way to Apopka, FL. today, where we will meet friends again. Our Route was short, but driving to a heavy populated area like this took its time. We had to stop twice because of Toll Roads, the second time we were not prepared to have the right amount of cash handy. We were holding up traffic for about 3 minutes to retrieve 25 cent pieces from the trailer....But thanks to our Garmin GPS device we found our way easily. 2 hour of driving is normally just a breeze for us, but after relaxing for 3,5 months in Zephyrhills it felt a little like a task...... After we had set up our trailer on a long Drive-Through and had paid our dues in the office, we sat ouside enjoying the warm breeze. 1. Picture: View straight up from our seating place outside - Pines and Live Oaks.. 2. Picture: View from our chairs straight across.... 3. Picture: Taken from our lot #5 across the road - left the office, right the swimming pool..... 4.Picture: View through our window in the bedroom - looks like we are parked in the middle of a tropical garden... Dieter and I took a stroll through the park this morning (April 2nd). As expected, the Lost Lake is dry, only the reed is still standing - and grasses, of course. Maybe a sinkhole swallowed it once. Florida is very "infamous" for its sinkholes. If you look into a map, you will notice uncounted smaller very round lakes. The park has many permanent residents, it is very clean. Clarcona Road is nearby, but during the night we were not disturbed by any extensive noises. This picture shows our unit. We are located near the entrance. The building in the background is tho office and the store.
