In our age we can have small heath scares, but lately we had to deal with a bigger one.....
While Dieter had a lung function test and lung X-Rays last year, he learned that he has a small nodule in his lung. This resulted in visits at the Pulmonologist's office in Inverness several times, over time in a PET Scan and in several CAT Scans with some months of intervals in between. Finally Dieter agreed to have a lung biopsy done. That afforded drives to Inverness 2 times and a week prior to the biopsy he had to leave out the Blood Thinner tab he takes every morning. We just learned last month that no cancer cells were found. Wow - what a relief that was.... In two weeks I have an appointment in Inverness also, the Surgeon will inspect my mastectomy scars and my overall well-being. The Tamoxifen Tablets prescription has to be renewed after one year taking those. Nothing out of the ordinary in this regard. Besides age-related small pains I fee fine. When we both see our family doctor in Bushnell next month after having blood work done before, we want to ask to extend or semi-yearly appointment to the usual yearly one, we always had. Will see.
